One of England's largest vineyards with 96 acres of assorted varieties and a vast range of vines - probably the largest collection of commercially available varieties grown in Britain. It was first planted in 1969 on the heavy clay soils. Despite this,the vines have thrived, as they also did on a nearby 12th. Century site.
Many grapes are sold on contract, and the vineyard offers a 'rent a row' of vines, giving individuals the chance to obtain over 250 bottles of wine to their own taste at a very reasonable price
The shop is in the cellars of the farmhouse, and offers a superb range of varietal wines - from a dry Huxelrebe and Perle to a sweet Rulander. Well worth a visit.
