  • Three acres were planted in 1992 with 2 more in 1994 Delightful, if rather hidden vineyard nestling at the foot of the Sugar Loaf mountain in a frost free site. Ideal place to stop on a hot day as there is a cool stream and a well designed shop.
Difficult to find. The turning is off the A40 just west of Abergavenney. It is a narrow lane half way between the Hospital and a pub - signposted but very narrow. After half a mile, turn left and keep going until the vineyard sign appears in front of you - assuming that is that the local council don't tear it down.
In 2010, the Siegerrebe was grubbed up as it had never grown well and a new clone of Bacchus, called SIRUS, was planted. Most of the Triomph has also been removed and been replaced by Regent. 18 adjacent acres were purchased and a small hydro-electric system was built on the stream.
