Old Walls is an ambitious vineyard planting just outside Teignmouth with immaculately tended vines on steep slopes and a modern new winery and shop. The vineyard has over 10000 vines on a site that may have been used by the Romans for the same purpose. The winery was built with the aid of a DEFRA grant from their Processing and Marketing scheme. In 2006, production was around 23000 bottles From A380 follow directions to Teignmouth on A381. Continue for approx. 2 miles, passing Jacks Patch Garden Centre. Take next left into village. Continue to Ring Of Bells and turn right. Follow road to small crossroads; Whidborne Manor is on the left. | |
