Holmfirth vineyard is planted on a South-East facing slope in the beautiful
Holme Valley, made famous by the 'Last of the Summer Wine' series on BBC TV.|
The vineyard was planted in 2008, and produced its first small crop in 2009. In 2010, the white wine won a Bronze medal at the Mercian vineyards competition. In 2011, a magnificent new visitors centre was opened in front of the new winery. These are powered by electrical ground pumps and PV power. Tours are available at 11a.m. every day- by appointment.
