Devon EX20 3PT
A Devon hillside in a picturesque triangle of land between Holsworthy, Okehampton and Hatherleigh is home to a well established vineyard that features mainly classic varieties of vines. In the valley below lies the village of Northlew, named after the nearby ancient manor of Lew, and featuring a 15th Century church. Its war memorial sadly records that 25% of all soldiers enlisting from the village in World War I, never returned.
The vineyard itself is at Lower Eastcott, 150 metres above sea level on a South-east facing slope, and with glimpses of Dartmoor. Three phases of planting have been completed, with over 6000 vines established.|
The Eastcott range includes "Methode Traditionelle" sparkling wines along with white and rose still wines. They have won International awards for both.
