Before the expansion of Three Choirs,Broadfield Court was the largest vineyard in the Welsh Marches. Planted in 1971, it is an important landmark on the tourist trail through Herefordshire. The estate was mentioned in the Domesday book "Radulophus de Todeni tenet Bradfelde" A house has survived on the site since that time. The vineyards were replanted in the walled garden in 1971 and extended to the surrounding fields. Three different winemakers are used to create a variety of styles. When developed in 1970, it was described as the best vineyard site in Britain.
