Lamberhurst vineyards was one of the countrys largest producers of English wines.
It was set up in 1974 and has constantly won trophies. Apart from wines, it also produced
apple wine and fruit kiqueurs.
It changed hands in 1995 after long ownership by Kenneth McAlpine, one of the pioneers
of commercial English wine production. It is currently owned by the English Wine Group who operate Chapel Down, and is being restored to its former glory as a major tourist attraction
